WiDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS FOR OUR PLASTIC TERRA-GRIDS

The Terra-Grid ground grids from Nedlandic are frequently used in equestrian sports, for example, in the construction of riding arenas and paddocks. They are also applied in the creation of parking lots, airfields, gravel paths, golf courses and yard pavings. The Terra-Grid ground grids, also known as grass pavers, are highly versatile. Thanks to the special design of the plastic grass pavers, the pressure is evenly distributed across the existing ground, which helps to prevent the formation of ruts on roads and driveways.

Advantages of our Terra-Grids

Our Terra-Grids are thoughtfully designed and of the highest quality. Here are the main advantages:

Terra-Grids Are Easy to Install

Thanks to the special click system integrated into our plastic Terra-grids, installation is straightforward. However, ground preparation must be done before laying the grids.

Good Drainage with Terra-Grids

When the Terra-grids are laid on a gravel bed and filled with gravel, it creates an excellent drainage layer. This ensures that the top layer remains perfectly dry. The gravel layer acts as a natural water reservoir. The top layer can consist of sand or, for example, a gravel path.

Additional Load Capacity with Our Terra-Grids

Since our Terra-grids are designed with a semi-open, semi-closed structure, they provide much more load-bearing capacity than honeycomb-type grids. The semi-open structure means that every other block is closed, which results in a doubling of the load capacity.

Weather-Resistant

Our Terra-grids are UV- and frost-resistant. Additionally, the tiles have enough space between them to expand or contract with temperature changes. This means that the tiles can expand in warm weather without lifting due to lack of space.

Prevent Stuck Cars!

When your parking area is equipped with our Terra-grids, you prevent cars from getting stuck. Water drains more quickly, and a solid surface is created. The Terra-grids provide a perfect parking space with a natural appearance – no more muddy holes!

No Splinters with Our Terra-Grids!

Since our Terra-Grids are made of polyethylene (a plastic that doesn’t splinter), they offer a major advantage over cheaper grass grids. Cheaper grids can break and leave splinters. Our Terra-Grids almost never break – and if they do get damaged, they tear without leaving any splinters.

Advantages of our Terra-Grids:

The Terra-Grids feature a modular click system, ensuring that the entire grass area forms a unified surface. The special design with barbs prevents the plastic grass grids from lifting under heavy loads. As a result, the maximum load capacity is 160 tons per m².

When solidifying grass areas you do not need to remove the topsoil. The Terra-Grids can be easily rolled out on smaller areas and can be unrolled on larger areas.

Why choose Plastic Terra-Grids instead of Concrete Paving Slabs?

  1. Lighter weight
  2. Modular and interlocking
  3. More cost-effective
  4. Dense grass sward
  5. Easy to maintain

Maintenance of Grass Areas with Plastic Terra-Grids.

When heavy vehicles regularly pass over grass areas with Terra-Grids, the grass may undergo significant stress. Fortunately, the new grass shoots are not damaged as they are safely protected beneath the edge of the Terra-Grids. After winter or during dry periods, the grass may look somewhat worse. This is completely normal and difficult to avoid. To strengthen the grass overall, you can fertilize it or spread lime.

An example of maintaining grass in optimal condition:

  • Jan-Feb: Lime the grass
  • Mrt-Apr: Fertilize
  • Sep: Fertilize with autumn fertilizer

Of course, regular mowing is also necessary.
